Oval hole jazz

The Oval Hole is my most popular model, in keeping with the spirit of the original Selmer-Maccaferri.

The guitar is made from solid wood, normally European spruce for the top, as well as cedar. For the back and sides I like the sound as well as the look of walnut, rosewood (Indian/Brazilian/Madagascar) and maple. The standard neck is walnut or mahogany but I also use flame maple in a single piece or 3 ply for the more refined models. The guitar comes fitted with Shallers tuners as standard, and Rainer Muller tuners (handmade tuners that look like the original ones but with a modern smooth gearing) are available at an extra cost. You can choose between the original brass tailpiece or my own ebony one… it’s all down to the look you want.

"His guitars are a match for anything on the market – Loud, warm and easy to play – as well as a formidable 'bark'." Stuart Blagden
