  Gypsy Jazz amplification

Ibeam Transducer

Ibeam transducer innovation for gypsy jazz guitars Now at last a great way to amplify gypsy jazz guitars using an L.R. Baggs Ibeam transducer (pictured right).

This high definition, award-wining transducer can be carefully fitted inside virtually any oval-hole guitar (yes! inside the guitar, through the sound hole!) using an end-pin jack socket. Whilst producing the most accurate sound yet, this "plug-and-play" system gives the possibility of using different bridges at will to get different actions.

It is totally invisible apart from the end pin jack, and it's practically weightless so it does not influence the natural acoustic sound of the guitar or require any modification. Being passive, a battery is not required and it works extremely well through amps such as AER. However, an external pre-amp or D.I. box can be used to boost and control the signal and cancel feedback.
